Barbara Vonau is a passionate storyteller, whose debut novel, The Magic Funnel, invites readers into a world where whimsy meets wonder. Originally born and bred in Nürnberg, Germany, she wrote the legend of the "Nürnberger Trichter", as it is called in her hometown, because she was inspired by her daughter’s mastering the challenges of school education in the United Kingdom. When she isn't writing books, she works on other creative projects including filmmaking for both documentary and feature shorts. In her day job she works as a medical doctor, lives in London with her husband, their tortoise Mr Snuffles, the cockatiel Lemoncello and a very important cat called Leo.
