The idea to write this story was born observing the challenges children face when taking important exams and the a famous German idiom I grew up with: The Nürnberger Trichter.

This charming city in the region of Franconia within Bavaria is the perfect setting for a historical adventure, with its rich folklore and steeped in history. It is home to one of the oldest and most atmospheric Christmas Markets in Europe and to Albrecht Dürer, the Michelangelo of the North.

Nürnbergs most famous son was born and lived there from 1471-1528. He was a painter, printmaker and theorist of the German Renaissance.
