Albrecht Dürer

Nürnbergs most famous son was born and lived there from 1471-1528. He was a painter, printmaker and theorist of the German Renaissance.

His paintings, prints and drawings can be seen in many of the most prestigious museums around the world. The house he lived and worked in is now a museum in the centre of the old city of Nürnberg.
